In the Face of a Disaster

TASC and its neighbors, including the Dane County Regional Airport experienced a power outage this morning, which we still have at this time (8:30 a.m. CST).  While this power outage affects TASC internally, TASC’s customers and representatives felt nothing.  TASC continues to serve without interruption.

It’s time like this that we realize the return on the investments we made in our new facility and disaster recovery center.  Our new data center provides three levels of system redundancy on site, and a secure external disaster recovery site.  The technology center is housed in a state-of-the-art climate controlled, monitored environment, protected by a redundant infrastructure that includes an A/C unit with built in redundancy, two load-balanced Uninterruptible Power Supply units, and a diesel generator for emergency power backup.
This level of service is not typical in our industry (third party administrators).  But it is what you have come to expect from TASC.
